After 20 years in management, Northern Music Co. Ltd Managing Director Andy Farrow has extended his business interests into Copyright ownership by the formation of Graphite Records.

Marketing and distribution is being handled by V2 / Universal and the aim is to give rock and metal bands a stronger entry point into the market place.

Graphite Records takes a hands on approach to selling records using its vast experience in management to select the right team for the artist to maximise sales whilst the recording industry is in a state of flux and change with continuing diminishing returns. Graphite intends to work within a new model to enable acts to benefit from their years of management experience in a record label environment.

As Graphite builds it intends to grow into a "hub" for international rock and metal labels to tap into for marketing and distribution of their acts in the U.K.

Often these genre based labels are trapped with inefficient distribution deals in the U.K and don't have the right set up to maximise sales. Graphite Records will offer major marketing and distribution in the U.K.
